Commission Work
A Brief Outline
Thank you for giving me the opportunity to bring your vision to life!
I’m always excited to collaborate and hear more about what you have in mind.
Below is a short overview of how my commission process works — Every job is different but it's a starting point that we’ll refine together as we go.
Get to Know Me
Hopefully you know a bit about me, but briefly, I’m an artist based in Western Australia — a former tradie and musician turned painter, driven by colour, emotion and imperfection.
Over the years my practice has evolved across portraits, abstracts and landscapes, but the through-line is always human connection. I like to paint the noise, not silence it.
What to Expect
01. Project Outline
We start with a chat — what you love, what you’d like captured, rough size, colour, mood, references (other work or mine that you resonate with is a great place to start).
This is no forms or formality - just a proper conversation to see if we'll be able to work together.
02. First Draft
I’ll sketch or mock-up a few concepts to help visualise direction. For portraits these often include charcoal or oil pastel sketches while I play with composition and feel out the subjects face.
03. Project Commencement
Once the direction feels right, I’ll send you a quote, and 50% is to be paid before the job commences.
04. Final Delivery
When the painting is finished and dry, I’ll send you final images for approval.
Once the balance is paid, the work is carefully packed and shipped worldwide (insured and tracked).
Pricing & Timing
Every piece is unique, so pricing depends on size, complexity and framing.
Materials & Framing
All works are painted with professional-grade oils on the substrate (surface) of your choosing. Framing can be arranged, however for larger pieces - and particularly for overseas orders, this has a dramatic impact on shipping costs.
Shipping
Shipping is built into the quote so you know exactly what you're paying with no hidden fees.
Let’s Begin
If this sounds good and you’d like to start the conversation, send me a message below — tell me what you’re dreaming up, or even just a feeling you’d like captured.
I’ll get back to you with ideas, timing and a rough quote. I appreciate you.
